Our Story

Carlson Cabana reimagined the design of the classic beach umbrella using the highest quality sustainable fabric with zero air + water microplastic pollution. Our revolution launched when founder Jenny Carlson grew tired of watching friends struggle to secure their umbrellas in the sand only to lose them in the wind. As a mama of four sandy groms, she embarked on a journey to blend a classic cabana-style beach umbrella with an innovative sand anchor design to keep her little ones safe in the shade.

Our California beaches tell a story of a beautiful, surf paradise and we are proud to announce that our 100% fully recyclable fabric has Global Recycled Standard Certification with UV 50+ protection. To continue to preserve our slice of paradise, a portion of our proceeds will be donated back to nonprofits that aim to protect our oceans.
